Marwell WildlifeQuality Assessed
"Over 50 years and still going strong."
Overview
One of the classics of British tourism, Marwell Wildlife opened in 1972, and has always been worth a visit or two. The wildlife park provides a diverse range of animal habitats with well-cared for inhabitant, clear interpretation boards, and lots of family-friendly activities. Staff are approachable and knowledgeable, making the overall experience as educational as it is engaging.
About the area
Hampshire’s varied landscape of hills and heaths, downlands and forests, valleys and coast are without rival in southern England. Hike across the chalk downland of the north Hampshire ‘highlands’, meander along peaceful paths through unspoilt river valleys of the Test, Itchen, Avon and Meon, or explore the lonely salt marshes and the beautiful medieval forest and heathland of the New Forest.
