Overview
Housed in an impressive new building, the Collection consists of the combined collections of the City and County Museum and the Usher Gallery. The art collection includes contemporary art and craft, paintings, sculpture, porcelain, clocks and watches. There are paintings by Turner, Stubbs and Lowry, major porcelain collections and clocks by Robert Sutton. The archaeological collection covers 300,000 years of history up to the 18th-century.
