"A friendly country inn, beautifully presented and quality all through."
Overview
The Crown Inn in the village of Marston Montgomery was purchased by one of the villagers and has established a good reputation for food and accommodation. The contemporary interior, with traditional features retained, creates a friendly and comfortable environment. The bedrooms (all named after people that have lived in the village for a long time) are well furnished and come with TVs, Egyptian cotton bedlinen, luxury toiletries and complimentary mineral water and biscuits. The menus are based on locally-sourced produce and backed up by a choice of frequently-changing specials. The outdoor space provides a delightful area to sit – whatever the weather.

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
