The Feathers★★★★
"Located in the Market Square, charming stone inn – stylish and welcoming."
Overview
The Feathers enjoys a prominent position overlooking the bustling town square in the picturesque market town of Helmsley. The bar and lounge areas are full of character and real fires glow on the cooler evenings, with original 'mouseman' carvings hiding around The Pickwick Bar. There is an extensive dinner menu which uses excellent local and seasonal produce. Bedrooms have been decorated to a high standard and are most comfortable. Some secure parking is available for guests at the rear of the inn. The Feathers is an ideal base from which to explore the North York Moors National Park, Helmsley Castle, and Rievaulx Abbey. Helmsley is situated on the Cleveland Way walk.

About the area
North Yorkshire, with its two National Parks and two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is England’s largest county and one of the most rural. This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
