Overview
Describing itself as 'boutique style', The Wensleydale Heifer may be a 17th-century former coaching inn, but it is also very much of the 21st century. The bedrooms, with Egyptian cotton linen and Temple Spa toiletries as standard, are each designed with an interesting theme – for example, Malt Whisky, Night at the Movies, James Bond, Champagne, and for chocolate lovers, there's a bedroom where you can eat as much chocolate as you like! All rooms are equipped with mini-fridges and air-conditioning. Food is very much the focus here in both the informal fish bar and the contemporary restaurant; the kitchen prides itself on sourcing the freshest fish and locally reared meats.
