Ascot House, built in 1869 for a wealthy York merchant to be 'not too far from the city centre' is only a 15-minute walk from York's historic attractions and range of superb restaurants. Lovingly restored, it now offers 12 en suite bedrooms with very modern bathrooms. All superior rooms have four-poster or antique canopy beds. Drinks are served in the spacious lounge and a free private car park is available.
