Georgian House & Mews★★★★
"Stylish and historic, in a quiet area of the city."
Overview
Once a farmhouse, this Georgian three-storey house sits close to the university and city centre. There are 22 rooms of various sizes, including a family room and a romantic four-poster. Eight rooms are in the Mews annex at the rear of the building, all styled with minimalist design and an eye to comfort. It's close to the city centre, but you can still expect a peaceful stay.
About the area
North Yorkshire, with its two National Parks and two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is England’s largest county and one of the most rural. This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
