"Well located for Mendips Hills walking and the cathedral city of Wells."
Overview
Small, adults-only park located at the foot of the Mendip Hills between Cheddar and the cathedral city of Wells. The park is dog friendly and open all year, offering a good choice of 19 hard-standing and grass pitches, and a good amenity block. The Rodney Stoke pub next door serves lunches and evening meals. Cheddar Gorge is three miles away.
Our inspector loves...
Location - Close to market town
Facilities - Modern toilets and showers
Pitches - All with electric hook up
Features

  • Opening Times
  • Open all year
Location
Behind The Rodney Stoke Inn, Wells Road, CHEDDAR, SOMERSET, BS27 3XB
About the area
Somerset remains rural and unspoiled, and ever popular areas to visit are the limestone and red sandstone Mendip Hills rising to over 1,000 feet, and by complete contrast, to the south and southwest, the flat landscape of the Somerset Levels. Another popular spot, the Quantocks, once the haunt of poets Coleridge and Wordsworth, are noted for their gentle slopes, heather-covered moorland expanses and red deer.
