Keswick Country House Hotel★★★
"The team’s hospitality is a highlight of a stay here."
Overview
Ideally located near the town centre, Keswick Country House Hotel is set within four acres of tended gardens and walkways, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing stroll or from the more energetic the newly opened railway walk to Threlkeld. This Victorian hotel was originally owned by Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway Company and was built to coincide with the opening of the railway in 1865. Eight traditional bedrooms are available in the Station Wing, which is accessed through the contemporary bar. The attractively appointed main house rooms are modern in style and are offering a good range of amenities. The public areas include a well-stocked bar, a relaxing lounge and the Lonsdale restaurant looking over the garden.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
