The Montagu Arms Hotel★★★★
"Quintessentially English village hotel with idyllic New Forest scenery."
Overview
Situated at the heart of a charming village and surrounded by glorious New Forest scenery, The Montagu Arms Hotel dates back to 1742, and still retains the character of a traditional country house. Individually designed bedrooms include some with four-posters and a number of newer rooms around the courtyard. Public rooms include two dining options: the informal Monty's Inn serving home-cooked classics, and the stylish, award-winning Terrace Restaurant. Much produce comes from the kitchen garden project which saw a derelict piece of land to the rear transformed to produce organic fruit, vegetables and herbs. In warmer weather there is a sheltered alfresco eating area overlooking the pretty terraced garden.
