Close to the village, Borrowdale Gates Hotel is in the peaceful Borrowdale Valley, in its own three-acre wooded grounds. Great for access to some of the Lakes best hiking, cycling and outdoor activities. Public rooms include contemporary lounges and a restaurant with picture-postcard views; the award-winning cuisine is a modern take on traditional British and classic French. The bedrooms have been beautifully appointed and are very comfortable; several have balconies and others have patio doors leading to the garden. Dogs can be accommodated in some of the bedrooms.
