The Port Askaig Hotel is a family-run inn that dates back to the 18th century. The lounge enjoys fine views over the Sound of Islay to Jura, and there is a choice of popular bars – the Snug Bar and the Old Malt Whisky Bar – as well as a beer garden. Traditional dinners and seafood fresh from the harbour are served in the bright Starboard Restaurant and a full range of bar snacks and meals is also on offer. Bedrooms are smart and comfortable, and free WiFi is available.

About the area
