"Plenty of style and character in this atmospheric North Cotswolds inn."
Overview
Located in the pretty rural village of Long Compton in the Cotswold, The Red Lion is a mid 18th-century posting house retaining many original features which are complemented by rustic furniture in the public areas. This is a dog-friendly property and the hosts' gorgeous Bella is often around to greet new guests. A good range of ales is offered, and interesting menus capitalise on quality local produce. About the area
The sparkle of sunlight on a gentle river as it meanders through beautiful countryside; the reflections of sailing boats on a lake; relaxing with a pint in the garden of an old English pub in a picturesque village; brightly coloured narrow boats making their way through a flight of lock gates; the imposing silhouette of an historic castle. These are the scenes that make Warwickshire a delight.
