The Beeley Inn★★★★★
"Peak District charm - a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary."
Overview
The Beeley inn, part of the Chatworth Escapes collection (formerly The Devonshire Arms at Beeley) is a charming 18th-century village inn, located on the Chatsworth Estate, with Chatsworth House itself only a short drive away. With its stylish and well-appointed rooms and suites, this is the ideal place to stay for exploring one of Britain's best-loved stately homes, the pretty villages on the estate, and the wild and natural beauty of the Peak District National Park. Local produce is fully evident on the menu, and the inn serves an array of dishes. Eat in the cosy bar area or the contemporary, colourful Brasserie. In the summer months there is a terrace for alfresco dining too, with tables and parasols beside the brook.

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
