The Village Inn
"Minutes from the beach and South West Coast Path"
Overview
Run for the past century by the Grose family, who also own the neighbouring Thurlestone Hotel, this 16th-century inn’s interior is smart with traditional touches including timbers salvaged from wrecked Spanish Armada warships. The menu offers freshly prepared sandwiches and salads; signature dishes such as fish pie and venison bourguignon and mash; pub classics including burgers and glazed ham, fried duck eggs and chips; and daily blackboard specials including fish from Brixham and Plymouth markets. Dartmoor Jail Ale and Thurlestone Rocks are among the ales on tap. Children and dogs are welcome.
