Golden Fleece
"Contemporary cooking in historic inn"
Overview
Once a coaching inn on Thirsk’s Medieval cobbled market place, the Golden Fleece is now a stylish modern hotel and part of The Coaching Inn Group. Dinner is served in the restaurant where menus offer an interesting range of dishes including seared monkfish tail with pan-fried gnocchi, mussel, clam and garlic butter. When the weather allows, pizzas can also be enjoyed alfresco from the on-site wood-fired oven.

About the area
North Yorkshire, with its two National Parks and two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is England’s largest county and one of the most rural. This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
