Overview
In the shadow of York Minster, Guy Fawkes Inn was the birthplace of gunpowder plotter Guido Fawkes. Illuminated by gas lamps and warmed by log fires, the pub has bags of atmosphere as well as a wide range of real ales. The restaurant specialises in dishes created with local ingredients so expect dishes like garlic and thyme chicken breast, and bacon chop with duck egg and salt-baked pineapple.
