Overview
Manorbier Castle is a 12th-century castle, built by Norman knight Otto De Barry, and the birthplace of his grandson, Gerald of Wales, an early chronicler of medieval society. After being partially destroyed by Parliamentary forces during the Civil War, it was restored by a Victorian tenant. Today it has a beautiful garden and is a lovely place to visit or for a wedding.
