Breezy Knees Gardens

Overview
Located just five miles east of York, the 15-acre Breezy Knees has over 6,000 varieties of plants that create vibrant borders and a succession of flowers from May through to the end of September. The Pond and Shade Gardens are best visited in May and June for the irises and peonies and the Rose Garden and Cottage Garden are a riot of colour by mid-summer; the September Garden and the Conifer Garden come into their own later in the year. The adjoining nursery sells over 1,500 varieties of plants, many rare, and many able to withstand harsh Yorkshire weather.
