Hurley Riverside Park★★★★
"A very well located family owned park benefitting from a very peaceful location"
Overview
Hurley Riverside Park is a family-run and pet-friendly park sits alongside the River Thames in the picturesque village of Hurley and has been run by four generations of the same family since 1926. It welcomes tourers, motorhomes, RVs and tents. We have 10 amp grass pitches and 16 amp grass, hardstanding and multi-service pitches. Facilities include heated shower blocks and family shower rooms, shop, laundry, disabled facilities, slipway, nature trail, riverside picnic area, electric car charging points and free Wi-Fi. It's a good site for lovers of the river and walkers alike. For those with a boat or canoe we have two slipways and for those without we have river frontage for picnics. With the lush green countryside of the Thames Valley all around, red kites circling above and the river traffic gliding past it is hard to believe we are only an hour outside London. There's also a self-guided nature trail, which follows the length of the campsite.

About the area
Berkshire consists of two distinct parts: the western half, which is predominantly rural, with the Lambourn Downs spilling down to the River Lambourn and the Berkshire Downs to the majestic Thames, and the eastern half of Berkshire, which offers plenty of opportunity to get out and savour open spaces. Reading and Newbury are the county’s major towns, and the River Kennet flows through them both.
