Overview
The Mersey Tunnel Tour is a unique, behind-the-scenes tour of Queensway Tunnel. It is held within the art deco splendour of Georges Dock Building on the Pier Head. Guests can view the original Engineering Control Room before descending into the industrial area to view the giant ventilation fan chambers. The tour then visits the original 1771 Georges Dock before viewing the traffic in the tunnel and then walking underneath the roadway to visit an escape refuge.
