"Skilful cooking close to Blakeney Point."
Overview
On the edge of the Blakeney National Nature Reserve on the Norfolk coast, Morston Hall is a flint-knapped, 17th-century country manor house with unforgettable views of the briny from many rooms. The perfect location for sourcing some prime produce from land and sea, ex-Pied à Terre chef Phil Kearsey has already stamped his identity on the menus since taking over from Galton Blackiston’s lengthy tenure here. There have been changes since the new ownership, including a private dining room (in the old drawing room) where canapès are served. The dining room is now situated in one room, and other areas have been converted into a new lounge bar used for casual dining and pre-dinner drinks. Show more

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
