In the heart of Rowsley, just a few miles from the market town of Bakewell, The Peacock at Rowsley is a delightful Grade II* listed country house. This luxury property started life as a manor house in the late 17th century and then became a dower house before establishing itself as a hotel in the 1830s. The Peacock, near both Haddon House and Chatsworth, boasts a beautiful river-fronted garden leading down to the celebrated River Wye, known for its clear waters and excellent fishing.
