"Assured cooking in charming village inn."
Overview
A thatched 14th-century former coaching inn, The Ingham Swan is located in the heart of a village close to the north-east Norfolk coastline. Retaining plenty of original features, the light dining area has a more contemporary feel and is an ideal setting for modern British dishes executed with pin-sharp precision. Start with wild garlic wrapped local asparagus, pickled wild ramps, confit egg, shaved 30-month aged Comté and asparagus velouté, before pan-roasted Longshore cod, étuvee leeks, Cromer crab, salmon and parmesan fritter, split wild garlic beurre blanc. Finish with Braeburn apple tart Tatin, Calvados caramel and tonka bean ice cream.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
