Contrast Brasserie

"In a tree-lined riverside terrace."
Overview
As Glenmoriston Town House Hotel's main restaurant, Contrast has a rather romantic air, thanks to low lighting and an evening pianist. Unsurprisingly, Scottish produce makes appearances, as in spiced North Uist scallops, and West Coast sea trout. Overall, though, the cooking is modern and international with Asian flavours, so expect dishes such as kimchi risotto and mugi miso monkfish too.

About the area
Apart from the Orkneys and the Shetlands, Highland is Scotland’s northernmost county. Probably its most famous feature is the mysterious and evocative Loch Ness, allegedly home to an ancient monster that has embedded itself in the world’s modern mythology, and the region’s tourist industry
