French House
"Gusty classic cooking above an iconic Soho pub."
Overview
In the character-ladened pint-sized dining room above the old French-themed Soho boozer, getting a table is a difficult call. The handwritten menus are pleasingly short, showing daily-changing classic dishes alongside blackboard specials of confident restraint, underpinned by simplicity and precision and elevated by bold flavours. Service is defiantly relaxed but informed, while wines are resolutely Francophile with bags available by glass.
