Overview
An exciting wood-fired grill-style venue in the centre of Mayfair, IGNI has at its dark and atmospheric heart a beautiful wooden counter overlooking a four-metre-long grill where top-drawer UK ingredients are cooked over British wood (oak, cherry, walnut and beech) to deliver subtle flavours. Timing is everything in each dish and the skills of the chefs become very apparent as you first feast with your eyes then you tastebuds. A fusion of South American and Japanese influences underpins the cooking, so expect surprising combinations such as asparagus, seaweed and nori; tuna, foie gras and miso; or tofu, chocolate and koji. There’s five-course and eight-course menus on offer.
