Overview
Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Mayfair, Sushi Kanesaka is a stylish and contemporary Japanese restaurant set within the luxurious 45 Park Lane hotel. The dining room achieves the correct level of calm via soft lighting, marble floors and a good use of natural woods, with modern art prints and sculptured silver chandeliers making for striking features that catch the eye. The luxurious minimalism is enhanced by glass-topped tables, starched napkins and low-level table lamps, but the chef’s counter made from a single piece of hinoki wood is most certainly the centrepiece and focal point. The concept here is ‘omaka’ (literally meaning ‘I leave it up to you’) with the chef preparing the tasting menu using the best produce of the day.
