In the conservation village of Castle Bolton the eighteenth-century Lawson’s Studio occupies a lovely spot beside the village green just two hundred yards from medieval Bolton Castle. History buffs will enjoy archery and falconry displays at the castle and walkers relish the short ramble to the excellent local inn, The Bolton Arms. A perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
