Overview
On the fringes of the Northumberland National Park, just a few miles from Rothbury, this 300-year-old stone pub serves good food in a choice of areas or the beer garden when the weather allows. The menu appeals to visitors of all ages and pockets, whether it’s steak, mushroom and ale pie; Cumberland sausage with mash, vegetables and onion gravy or Barbary duck with plum and spring onion sauce.
