Overview
The Swan is the perfect English country pub – it stands by the River Windrush near the cricket pitch in the idyllic village of Swinbrook, overlooking unspoilt Cotswold countryside. It gets even better inside: the two cottage-style front rooms, replete with worn flagstones, crackling log fires, low beams and country furnishings, lead through to a cracking bar and classy conservatory extension. First-class pub food includes main courses of pork belly, potato and sage rosti, celeriac, red cabbage and apple gel; and cider battered haddock, mushy peas, chips and tartar sauce. You won’t want to leave, so book one of the stunning en suite rooms in the restored barn.
