Overview
A 300-year-old coaching inn benefiting from a prominent position on the high street, The Swan retains plenty of period features and lots of character. There is a large outdoor seating area for alfresco dining in the summer, but otherwise head to the restaurant for modern dishes like slow-braised blade of beef with truffle mash, heritage carrots and buttered kale. The bedrooms have period details including stone fireplaces.
Location
46a Greengate Street, STAFFORD, STAFFORDSHIRE, ST16 2JA

About the area
Staffordshire features lofty moors, deep dales and tremendous views of both. Further south are the six sprawling towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent, which historically have had such an impact on Staffordshire’s fortunes, not to mention its culture and countryside.
