Close to the Ridgeway on the North Wessex Downs, the Crab & Boar is a thatched pub six miles from Newbury Racecourse. The pub dates back to the second battle of Newbury in 1644 and former guests include Oliver Cromwell. Enjoy modern British dishes in one of several cosy, candlelit rooms.
