"Confident cooking in a charming Cotswold pub."
Overview
A delightful mellow golden stone building overlooking the Evenlode Valley on the Gloucestershire-Oxfordshire border, The Feathered Nest Inn started life 350 years ago as a malthouse before being converted to a picturesque village inn. These days, it’s a charming restaurant with rooms and a delightful pitstop if you fancy a cocktail or pint of local real ale alongside the locals in the well supported bar with its roaring open fire, flagstone floors and chunky beams. There are splendid rural views from the canopied terrace and garden, making a wonderful setting for alfresco dining. Inside, rustic tables, cosy candlelight and walls hung with interesting art add to the charm of the place. Show more

About the area
Gloucestershire is home to a variety of landscapes, including the Cotswolds, a region of gentle hills, valleys and gem-like villages that roll through the county. To their west is the Severn Plain, watered by Britain’s longest river and characterised by orchards and farms marked out by hedgerows that blaze with mayflower in the spring; beyond the Severn are the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley
