Corrigan's Mayfair
"Bold flavoured British and Irish food in Mayfair."
Overview
Just off Park Lane, Richard Corrigan’s eponymous flagship restaurant has become a firm favourite ever since the doors opened in 2008. Understated luxury is the theme, with a sleek, clubby, cosseting feel created by dark wood floors, plush blue leather seating, seductive lighting and charming service. Redefining British and Irish cuisine, the classically underpinned, robust and comforting cooking makes free with down-to-earth produce, with game a speciality; perhaps a whole roast Scottish partridge, carved into breast and legs, served alongside parsnip fondant, braised ale and vin jaune sauce with pickled pear completing the balancing act. For pudding, a heavenly custard tart with nutmeg, and a compôte of golden raisins and pine nuts.
