Morston Hall
"Skilful cooking close to Blakeney Point."
Overview
On the edge of the Blakeney National Nature Reserve on the Norfolk coast, Morston Hall is a flint-knapped, 17th-century country manor house with unforgettable views of the briny from many rooms. The perfect location for sourcing some prime produce from land and sea, ex-Pied à Terre chef Phil Kearsey has already stamped his identity on the menus since taking over from Galton Blackiston’s lengthy tenure here. There have been changes since the new ownership, including a private dining room (in the old drawing room) where canapès are served. The dining room is now situated in one room, and other areas have been converted into a new lounge bar used for casual dining and pre-dinner drinks.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea
