Overview
In the shadow of Ripon cathedral, The Old Deanery is a handsome Jacobean mansion and the perfect setting for a classy restaurant that has forged a reputation as one of Yorkshire’s hot-ticket foodie destinations. Smart-casual hospitality is the name of the game, with dining described as an ‘immersive experience’. The cooking builds on a bedrock of classic European roots and the dishes evolve with the seasons. A nine-course tasting menu could include smoked potato and caviar; Wye Valley asparagus; seabass and cucumber; and Easingwold outdoor-reared pork.
