Skosh
"Dynamic food with strong Japanese and Asian influences."
Overview
Since Skosh hit the local foodie scene in 2016, the place has gone from strength to strength, taking over the neighbouring building. Inside, there’s a bright and jolly mood with slate greys offset by shocking yellows and an open kitchen area. The name is Japanese slang for ‘a small amount’, hence the small plate concept ranges from nibbles to larger main course-style dishes. Light, fresh and boldly flavoured, the on-trend food has strong Japanese and Asian influences – Singapore crab potsticker dumplings, followed by BBQ sea trout ‘Thai style’ with smoked roe, grapefruit and cauliflower.
For pudding, forced Yorkshire rhubarb with buttermilk cream, spiced bread and cardamom delivers the final hit.
