"Intimate, sophisticated dining in splendid surroundings."
Overview
Intimate (just 18 covers) and classy, The Tudor Pass lives up to its name with painted ceiling beams, an ornately carved stone fireplace and plush upholstered armchairs at linen-clothed tables, as befits the culinary flagship of the impressive red-brick Tudor mansion of Great Fosters. The experience is presented as a surprise menu where chefs bring out dishes and describe them with accompanying stories about what inspires them, the ingredients and methods used. Rainbow carrots with sea buckthorn and wild herbs is a pretty little starter, then meat shines in the form of barbecued venison with celeriac, blackberry, Timiz pepper and a croquette of shredded venison.
