"Classy food in friendly village pub."
Overview
A charming red-brick, 19th-century village inn located between Leatherhead and Esher, The Victoria Oxshott has retained its relaxed pubby vibe with a warm welcome and attentive service. Although contemporary in style, original features like exposed brickwork, open fires and wood panelling add plenty of charm, and there is a lovely garden area. The kitchen sticks to a tried-and-tested modern British take on pub food down to sharing boards and snacks including Scotch egg and ale mustard or beer-battered scampi with tartare sauce. A typical meal in the comfortable dining room could start with whisky-glazed quail, puffed wild rice, sorrel emulsion and quail lollipop, or crispy pig’s head, sage, apple, bitter leaves and radish.
