Overview
The Gallery is housed in one of Kendal's most important buildings; a Grade I listed Georgian Villa on the banks of the River Kent. The Gallery offers two floors of light-filled spaces, a temporary exhibition programme that has achieved a national profile, and the permanent collection of works by George Romney spanning his entire career. The upstairs galleries feature commanding views of the River Kent and Kendal Castle and show works by major British artists.
