Kirkham House, Paignton
Overview
This late medieval stone house, afterwards split into three cottages was restored in the 1960s. It is unknown when or by whom the house was built; the wood carving suggests 14th century, while the layout is more of the 15th. The large, arched oak doorway was added in the 16th century, and each room has a fine hooded fireplace.
