Overview
This magnificent George II house still has its original contents. The collection of paintings was begun at the suggestion of Sir Joshua Reynolds and includes many of his portraits. The saloon and dining room were designed by Robert Adam and have superb decorative plasterwork and period furniture. The extensive gardens include a working Orangery and several follies, and part of their 500 acres is alongside the River Plym.
