Overview
Athelhampton, one of the finest 15th-century houses in England, contains magnificently furnished rooms including The Great Hall of 1485 and the library, which contains 3,000 books and an original 1915 Riley Imperial billiard table. The glorious Grade I gardens contain the world-famous topiary pyramids, fountains, and collections of tulips, magnolias, roses, clematis and lilies in season. The West Wing Gallery features paintings by Marevna (1892-1984), a Russian painter who lived and painted at Athelhampton.
