Overview
Situated at the intu Trafford Centre, SEA LIFE Manchester is home to more than 5,000 creatures, including sharks, seahorses, octopus, jellyfish and rays. Every day there are fun and informative talks, feeding shows, and quizzes to help you learn about life under the sea. A recent addition to Manchester's SEA LIFE is CLAWS, an opportunity to spend quality time with some amazing crabs. Among the shelled wonders is a Giant Tasmanian Crab, which was caught in Australia and was on its way to the dinner table. Rescued by Sea Life and taken to Paris, and now at home in Manchester. There is an interactive rock pool where visitors can handle crabs, starfish and other small sea creatures. The Centre is also involved in conservation projects such as the Seahorse Trust, and animal rescue and rehabilitation programmes.
