Overview
Upton Grey lays claim to being the world's most accurate and fully restored Gertrude Jeykll garden. It has a wild garden with pond; dry stone walls surrounding the rose and peony garden; a bowling lawn and grass tennis court; an orchard, a nuttery and a kitchen garden. There are also herbaceous borders and yew hedging. On display are copies of Jekyll's 1908 plans with photographs of the garden's history. A free garden guide with map and plant list is given to each visitor.
