Chelsea Physic Garden
Overview
Established in 1673 for the study of plants used by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London, this Garden is one of Europe's oldest botanic gardens and retains the title 'Physic' after the old name for the healing arts. The Garden is still used for botanical and medicinal research, and offers displays of many fascinating plants in lovely surroundings. Photo credits: Megan Taylor & Charlie Hopkinson.
