The Charles Dickens Museum London
Overview
Charles Dickens lived in Doughty Street in his twenties and it was here he worked on his first full-length novel, The Pickwick Papers, and later Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby. Pages of the original manuscripts are on display, together with valuable first editions, his marriage licence and many other personal mementoes.
