Overview
The museum is in an old fisherman’s cottage – the oldest building in the town apart from the church, with its roots in 1696. It’s a great little place, manned by local enthusiasts. One unusual display relates to the fishermen’s knitted jumpers, called ‘ganzeys’; in the seashore room you can make your own rubbings of various natural forms and learn about the fossils found along this coastline.
