Overview
Part of Warwickshire College, students studying horticulture can be found working in these interesting gardens that include a fruit and vegetable production unit, a range of stock and specialist plants and a garden centre where college-grown trees and shrubs are sold. The Alpine Garden Society have designed a show garden here, full of unusual plants and innovative ideas for design and cultivation. There’s a rock garden displaying a huge variety of plant habitats and some interesting young plantings and throughout the year a variety of short courses, workshops and talks on horticulture are available to all comers.

Worcestershire is a county of rolling hills, save for the flat Vale of Evesham in the east and the prominent spine of the Malverns in the west. Nearly all of the land is worked in some way; arable farming predominates – oilseed rape, cereals and potatoes – but there are concentrated areas of specific land uses, such as market gardening and plum growing.
